Experimenting

I’ve had a day of experimentation in the kitchen today.

Having become inspired by YouTube vlogs recently, particularly Hannah Maggs and Zoella, I want to find a way to incorporate them into my blog. However I have one problem…I absolutely do not want to be in them myself. I’ve always hated being in front of the camera and a shadow of fear comes over me whenever a camera is pointed at me. I hugely admire everyone that does do it, but it is just not for me. Instead of seeing this as the end of the idea, I live by the saying ‘where there’s a will theres a way’, I instead am experimenting with ways that I can incorporate vlogs into my blog. I love the concept of video diaries and how everyday real life can be documented. Combine this with the fact that I’ve enjoyed the little amount of video editing that I have done in the past it is definitely something I wish to pursue.

I bought myself a bit of kit and am trying out a few ideas. I was pleased with the results today so all things going well, there will be some videos going up soon!

Heres a sneak peek of one of my trials…

As part of my experimentation in the kitchen today I took a trip to some health shops and the market to buy items from a list I had compiled through some research on deliciouslyella.com and in the book Crazy Sexy Diet.

Making efforts to cut processed foods out of my diet I felt that I needed more ingredient options to be creative with.

I love seeking out new ingredients and then researching their benefits and ways to use them. Todays purchases included chia seeds, flaxseed, hemp, buckwheat and agave syrup.

When I got home I started by making a smoothie in my new blender.

Later I baked a loaf of wheat free bread and…

A successful day!

I will be posting recipes for these foods in the future.

Right I’m off…to make some videos! :-)
